This newly constructed Post & Beam house on a Maine Island features a custom cherry kitchen built by local cabinetmaker. It is designed to compliment the open plan features of the home and includes unique storage throughout. Area of kitchen 265 sq ft.
Historic Renovation Seaside Cape - 1780 (2)
This period home is featured in 'This Old House' magazine Sept 2002 issue - 'House Calls with Steve'.
Located in a Maine fishing village, Jean designed a functional kitchen, historic in style, hand painted to evoke its 18th century roots. Family live centers around the hearth - a British cast iron AGA cook stove. Area of kitchen 305 sq ft.

Warm Patina - Yellow Birch (3)
Parents of this young family were excited at the prospect of replacing their outdated cherry kitchen, as part of ongoing remodeling and additions to their rural home. The 'wish list' - create a more functional and pleasing space, with handcrafted cabinetry, ergonomic interiors to include a dog kennel for the most beloved of the family, and 'state of the art' appliances and fixtures.

This beloved home needed tender loving care and updating. It now features a remodeled kitchen and dining area featuring hand made accents from local artisans - a personalized scenic backsplash by ceramic artist, to baskets and iron pot hangers.
Handcrafted cabinetry is custom color matched and painted by local artist. Colors evolving from client's childhood memories spent in 'Provence'. , As noted by her, she now has a 'deliciously colorful interior with many admirable elements which guests "ooh and ah" over'.
